CHN Non-Risk Contracts
A non-risk contract is a contract in which the payor is responsible for the health care costs of members enrolled in their health plan. In CHN non-risk contracts, the credentialing function is the only delegated activity to CHN MCO by the payor.
CHN Shared Risk Contracts
When a managed care organization such as CHN MCO is at "shared risk," it means that the organization accepts responsibility for the financial responsibility and rewards involved in the cost for effectively caring for members enrolled in a health plan.
